[dropcap style=”font-size: 70px; color: #052b51; font-family: ‘Droid Serif’, Arial, sans-serif;”] W [/dropcap] e’ve just returned from SA Champs in Shongweni where all the Sunny Parkers did us extremely proud. Kyla Taylor, Michelle Wilson, Katie Sime and Sam Wright all traveled to Durban and waved the Sunny Park flag high.
Katie was a member of both the winning national championship teams for the 1m and 1.10 national team championship classes. She competed on Theron and Aurora in the 1m classes and Fit Sports Lab’s State Secret in the 1.10 classes. She bought home a few individual placings as well.
Michelle competed on Caesour in the 1m classes and did extremely well despite not having competed her plucky TB for some time. In only her second 1.20 show on Chacoelo came home with a place and a point – well on her way to the open classes!
Sam and Zuperstar competed in their second 1.35 show and while there were no places consistently jumped competitive rounds in the higher classes.
The real super star of the show though was Kyla Taylor and Star – in only her second open show Kyla kept her nerves at bay and jumped beautiful rounds in the 1.30 classes and even came back with a place!
Over the years Nicola has consistently produced riders to the highest level of the sport. Kyla is one of three riders who have, just this year alone, entered in to the open grades successfully. No other instructor on the East Rand can brag these sort of consistent results over the years. Well done Kyla, Brigitte and Lauren who have all entered the open level this year.
